Who we are?

The Women of Pakistan (WOP) is one such movement that brings to the core the stories of such courageous and gallant women who not only got education despite facing domestic and social constraints but also created their independent identity in the society and fought to seek women rights not only for themselves but their fellow womenfolk as well. They also gained a prominent position in all walks of life with sheer intelligence, vision, and perseverance.

The success stories of these highly successful and courageous women role models are missing in the mainstream media. WOP addresses this challenge confronted by women and is bringing fore via social media platforms, in person networking sessions, talks and WOP Notebook project the success stories of those women who gained a prominent position in their field and established an excellent example of leadership.

What we do?

The WOP is empowering girls and young women through tapping the powers of social media and the internet to access tens of millions of women and is working hard to inculcate pro-women values and norms in society.

The WOP is exclusively a women-specific social media platform cum movement that underscores the true stories and up journeys of local and oversea Pakistani women through professional and best possible production quality format of documentaries so that the viewers get motivation and instead of creating hurdles in the educational attainment of their sisters, wives, and daughters, they would emerge as enabler and facilitator for them. When it comes to public opinion-making, there is no alternative to the tools provided by the internet and social media platforms in this age of information and technology.

The WOP brings such women to the limelight of media who not only improved their status but contributed massively to the uplifting of their families and as well as societies. We have developed many such projects, for instance, WOP Notebook Project, WOP Fellowship Program, WOP Profiles and Interview series and preparing many documentaries to fill this gap, that we consider one of the major impediments in the socioeconomic and academic betterment of Pakistani girls and women.

Now, these successful women are on mission with WOP to lead and guide other girls and young women in the light of their personal experiences for helping them to overcome the challenges of illiteracy, rampant social and patriarchal restrictions, and well-entrenched fear, so that women should be pulled out from the quagmire of social and economic inequalities. In other words, these courageous women aspire to play an instrumental role in the realization of the dreams nurtured by millions of Pakistani women.
